No Show In Milan Miu Miu

  Do not expect, Miu Miu, to return to the Milan Fashion Week schedule in the foreseeable future. The Italian brand has become a regular fixture on the Paris Fashion Week since 2006 - Miuccia Prada and plans for it remain so.

The Italian brands have recently been under pressure in the fashion capital of the country (no less than Giorgio Armani) show, been in an attempt to revive the Milan Fashion Week. But while Prada shows in Milan, sister label Miu Miu has not - as Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, CEO of the group, this is due to the timing.

"Miuccia is in the studio day and night. She creates performances and follows all aspects, it is physically impossible to create two shows every few days," he said. "There was another show a week later - they had to go!"

The designer has its explanation. "This is the way we work, it is impossible, no one does," she said.

Fashion Council of Italy, House of Fashion, has a team of high-profile names recruited in a campaign to rejuvenate the Milan Fashion Week - including Bertelli and chief Diego Della Valle's death, Angela Missoni Valentino CEO Stefano Sassi, Gucci President and CEO Patrizio di Marco, OTB boss Renzo Rosso and designer Silvia Venturini Fendi.

"I look forward to the future. Was I forced to take part in [the new projects of the house], the machine was not working show in Milan, whatever good brands and Valentino Renzo Rosso," WWD Bertelli said. "It should not be rigid, but a broader view of things."
