Marc Jacobs rumored to leave Louis Vuitton

   After 16 successful years at the helm, Marc Jacobs rumor is to be kept separate paths with Louis Vuitton.

Fashion insiders say the contract with the same name star design hotel with luxury goods brand LVMH expires at the end of 2013 - and speculation is rampant, it can not be replaced.

We think Jacobs and business partner Robert Duffy held negotiations since last year.

But WWD reports that it is now that he left more likely than ever the French fashion house.

This comes after a shake-up in its own Marc by Marc Jacobs label, which he is named Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley as creative director and design.

So who could replace in the race for Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton when he left the job?

WWD brands Nicolas Ghesquière the "heir" to the role, with a separate source said the former Balenciaga designer is "serious negotiations" to be successful.

Meanwhile, it seems that Jacobs is intended to replace Reed Krakoff with the coach.

A spokesman for the designer has not yet.
